  • Are the teachers credentialed?
    The teachers at Joyful Journeys must meeting the minimum criteria established by California's Department of Social Services, this includes at least 12 core semester united in early childhood, and six months experience within a licenses child care center. In addition to the those minimums, our recruitment, hiring and onboarding procedures aim source teachers and team members aligned with our educational philosophy and culture of creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children and families feel supported and encouraged to learn and grow.
  • What is the early learning and preschool philosopy of Joyful Journeys?
    Joyful Journeys philosophy is a holistic blend of the Creative Curriculum, Montessori Curriculum, and Learning Through Play, enriched by the developmental theories of Jean Piaget and B.F. Skinner. We believe children thrive in an environment that fosters curiosity, independence, and joy while supporting their cognitive, social, and emotional growth.   • What are your teacher student ratios?
    Each classroom and age follows the teacher student rations required by Community Care Licensing. Each classroom has a lead teacher and up to three assistant teachers, along with a floating assistant teacher to ensure teacher student ratios are met at all times, and to ensure that each child receives the care and attention required to sustain our culture or safety and cultivating a nurturing environment.
  • Are meals provided?
    Meals are provided in all classrooms. However, for infants, families must provide milk, and baby food until their child is able to consume meals provided by Joyful Journeys. All meals, provided by Joyful Journeys, will adhere to the food and nutrition standards required by Community Care Licensing to ensure that each child receives an adequate and nutritious snacks throughout the day. Additionally, our team members consistently adhere to the food quality, quantity and safe food handling practices.
